Macdonald Realty is owned and operated by James Macdonald and Leo McMahon, both are licensed estate agents & auctioneers who have a wealth of experience with rural properties, working in the rural sector for more than 40 years.

James Macdonald commenced agency work with AML-F in 1960 at Dalby and was later Manager at Miles. He opened a private agency in Toowoomba in September 1967, with further offices at Roma and Dalby. These offices were mainly involved in selling livestock. James began selling rural properties in 1970, specialising in good agricultural and irrigation country on the Darling Downs and was associated with many property sales on the downs including Harrow, Rosalie Plains, Bellfields, Swainston, Prestbury, Macquarie Downs, Argyle, Tyunga, Braemar, Knust, Melrose, Murilla, Cattle Creek, Mt Maria, Alfala, Woodlands, Wylalng, Trevanna, Croxley, Garryhunden, Cowarrie. Leo McMahon Commenced in 1960 with AML-F in Toowoomba, moved to Pittsworth in December 1964 and managed AML-F until 1978 when he moved back to Toowoomba as a Livestock Auctioneer. He progressed through mergers of Australian Estate & Elders and was livestock manager of the Toowoomba office until 2007, where he conducted weekly livestock auctions as well as clearing sales.
